Nikoloz Rachveli - Memory Card #2: Georgia Through Masterpieces of Music and Cinema at The Town Hall

On November 29, 2026, acclaimed Georgian conductor and composer Nikoloz Rachveli brings Memory Card #2: Georgia Through Masterpieces of Music and Cinema to The Town Hall in New York. Presented by Emolas Corporation, the performance is the second installment of Memory Card, a project that traces Georgia's evolving character and cultural identity through the intersection of symphonic music, jazz, Georgian musical tradition, and cinematic storytelling.

Led by Nikoloz Rachveli and the Chamber Orchestra of New York, the evening brings the country's musical and visual heritage together on one stage, built around the idea that memory can travel through time. The performance features Nikoloz Rachveli, Beka Gochiashvili, Nino Katamadze, Natalia Kutateladze, Giorgi Ushikishvili, Levan Deisadze, and Zaza Tsertsvadze, and Teo Jorbenadze of ConceptArt wrote and directed it.

Rachveli is General Music Director of the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra and one of Georgia's most recognized cultural figures, serving as composer, conductor, and pianist. He founded the contemporary music festival KONTRAPUNKT, is a laureate of the Rustaveli Award, and serves as UNICEF National Ambassador for Georgia. His compositions and arrangements have been performed on major international stages, including the premiere of his Piano Concerto "Introversion" at Carnegie Hall and his album City Lights, recorded with violinist Lisa Batiashvili and released by Deutsche Grammophon in 2020.

Founded in 1921 by suffragists as a home for the League for Political Education, The Town Hall has hosted over a century of landmark performances and remains a National Historic Landmark in the heart of New York City. Its 1,500-seat auditorium, designed by McKim, Mead & White, has long served as a stage for cultural, musical, and civic milestones - providing a fitting setting for Memory Card's exploration of Georgia's own history through music and film.

Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the performance beginning at 7:00 PM.
