Georgian national ballet sukhishvili at carnegie hall

On January 17, 2026, the Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili performed at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall for the first time in the ensemble’s 80-year history. The concert was fully sold out and attended by more than 2,700 guests.

Organized and produced by Emolas Corporation, the project was the result of months of coordinated preparation involving the ensemble’s artistic leadership, dancers, choreographers, technical teams, and production management. Planning included venue negotiations, technical adaptation to Carnegie Hall’s stage and acoustics, live music integration, international logistics, marketing strategy, and program development. The objective was to present Georgian folk choreography at the highest professional standard within one of the world’s most recognized cultural institutions.

The event represented a significant institutional and cultural milestone. A large-scale folk dance production of this kind had not previously been staged at Carnegie Hall, establishing a precedent for the presentation of Georgian national choreography in a major global concert venue. The program featured a structured selection of repertoire highlighting regional traditions, ensemble precision, and the athletic technique characteristic of Sukhishvili’s style.

The performance demonstrated the capacity of traditional Georgian dance to operate within a major international concert framework while maintaining artistic integrity. The sustained audience engagement and full-capacity attendance underscored both the production’s execution and its broader cultural relevance.
